Glo Bible

Newsweek: “Goodbye to Gideon? New digital Bible could hasten decline of bound Scriptures.”

I know some people don't think that a digital Bible is as "official" as a printed one. But I bet the same thing was said when the Bible went from scrolls to books.

Now comes the Bible of the next generation. The Glo Bible is something that I will be watching to see how it develops and who is gravitating toward it. I picture university students armed with their laptops reading, learning, and surfing through their Bibles using Glo's timelines and videos to enhance their experience. The cool thing about Glo is that this Bible also mixes in social networking to have a type of facebook spiritual experience that is rooted in scripture. They are on to something. Now just to wait for the mac version of it!

Enjoy,

Sacred Space

There are some sites on the net that need to be shared. This site "sacredspace.ie" is a site that I am always rewarded for turning to. It is a devotional site from the Irish Jesuits. I appreciate the gentle way the site guides me into resting in the text of scripture, and then encourages me to wait for God to speak through it. Enjoy it and visit it offten!

H20 - A journey of faith

Over the past few years many individuals, couples and families have viewed H2O - a Journey of Faith. This is a wonderful video series that encourages us to consider, or reconsider, the claims of Jesus Christ as the source of living water to quench our souls.

This series is best watched in a group setting where there is opportunity to talk through the questions that come to mind through it. If that interests you, Rez can set up a group for you - please contact us. Many times the groups we set up are a few friends meeting in the comfort of your own home.

Please consider watching a few of these videos on line to give you a taste of what they are like.

Missional Church Video Clips
Here is a video resource that you may find useful in helping you to understand and embrace what it means to be a missional follower of Jesus.  These are 4-5min clips from the "desiring God" conference. I try to watch one every once and a while to further my thinking. You can also subscribe to their pod-cast in itunes to download all of them to your computer. Search for "desiring god" in the itunes podcast directory

There are also videos from the 2007 event on line.

Return to Source Video
This video is proudly produced by Rez's confirmation class of 2007. This video takes a good crack at addressing what it means to be a follower of Jesus at Christmas time living in a culture completely obsessed with consumerism.
Correction in the video: The average person sees 3000 marketing messages a day, not 5000

LIFE SHAPES
We have said a lot about life shapes at Rez. It is the leaderships hope that as we embrace these shapes (which are based around the core of the Christian faith) will help us to not simply "look Christian" but be able to see the teachings of Jesus bring greater transformation to our lives.
Lifeshapes.com - this site is good but a bit annoying. Good in that it gives an overview of the shapes and what they are about. Annoying in that it seems like a commercial to sell Mike Breen's books (I like and own the books.... but don't like been sold things)
3dministries - This site kicks! This site will help you to come to a greater understanding of lifeshapes and their role in the kingdom of God. Yes they are also selling stuff.... but not as blunt as the lifeshapes.com site. You will find here plenty of soul candy for you to read, listen and watch!
St Tom's Church - This church is the birth place of lifeshapes. Take a look around and see how the gospel has transformed this church through embracing lifeshapes.
