God calls us to be disciples that make disciples. Just as Jesus poured into his disciples, developing maturity in character ability and heart so we seek to do the same. Much of the discipling that happens at Rez is not in a formal setting. It mostly happens unaware where Christ-like character is rubbed off on others as they serve side by side.

"Truly, that man is happy who has training from the hand of God: so do not let your heart be shut to the teaching of the Ruler of all." Job 5:17

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-13

As Jesus invites you to grow in your knowledge, heart and character in following Him, please embrace many different opportunities to balance your growth:

Studying God’s Word
-Bible studies
-Personal time in God’s word
-Listening to sermons
-Teaching God’s word (don’t we learn the most when we are the teacher)

If you have new ideas about helping people grow into maturity in faith please consider that God may desire to work through you to blaze a new trail in discipling others. So don't be too secretive with your ideas!
